Smudge-Proof Makeup For Your Next Hook Up
The last thing you want to worry about when you're gettin down and dirty is your makeup smudging! Here's our picks for makeup for your next hookup that won't budge, no matter what you're up to.
The Lips
Okay. I don't need to tell you that a liquid lipstick is a MUST for any dick appointment beat. Liquid lips stay in place all day, don't travel or bleed like cream lipstick formulas, and rarely need a touchup after a big meal or a make-out session. Our picks? The F*ck Trump Matte Liquid Lipstick by Lipslut (featured in our first ever SlutBox!) is a gorgeous balanced, mid-tone nude pink that compliments any skin tone. Even better? Half the proceeds go toward helping a civil rights organization targeted by the Trump administration, so you can put your money where your mouth is. Another pick? The Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lips are a classic for a reason. Available in any shade from deep vampy purple to bubblegum pink, these liquid lips mean business. My favorite everyday shade is Dusty Rose (featured in August's Box) but the shade American Doll is a stunning classic retro red perfect for a night out.
Hoe Tip for BlowJob Proof Lips
Another tip for making any lip last all night? Fill in your entire lip with lip liner. I like the RealHer lip liner in the shade I Love Myself (featured in the June Box) for a better-than-my-real-lips shade. Once your lips are filled in, top with a balm or a gloss, like the Rose Quartz Lip Plump by Skin Chemists featured in our July Box) for some juicy DSLs.
The Eyes
Raccoon eyes are a dead giveaway for a night spent hoein' it up. Keep your shadow in check with an eyeshadow primer - the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is the O.G. - and be sure you're using a richly pigmented shadow like Coloured Raine's amazingly blend-able, buildable shades. (Not to brag, but we got a custom Coloured Raine shadow in our July Box called Goalz and it's the bomb dot com). If you're a liner gal, stick to waterproof, 24-hour wear formulas like Note Cosmetic's Smokey Eye Pencil (featured in our June Box). For mascara, Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening Mascara by Estée Lauder promises 15 hours of smudge-free wear. Sold.
The Face
For face makeup, keep it simple. Skip the full-coverage foundation (hey, you'll be sweating) and stick to light coverage and a creamy blush like L.O.V. Set That Sh*t
Setting spray is every hoe's cosmetic holy grail! Setting spray freezes your makeup and prevents creasing, smudging, settling and can even help control oil and shine. The first setting spray most people think of is the All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray by Urban Decay. It's a classic for a reason. In a pinch, you can also use hydrosol (also known as floral water spray) to set or refresh your beat. I personally prefer rose hydrosol for the delicate floral scent, and my current fave is the Art Naturals Rose Hydrosol featured in the July Box.
